El momoto mexicano (Momotus mexicanus), es una especie de ave de la familia de los momótidos. Se le encuentra en Guatemala y México. Su hábitat natural son los bosques tropicales o subtropicales secos, bosques de tierras bajas tropicales o subtropicales y zonas previamente boscosas ahora muy degradadas.
